KLIA has made an initiation called Butterfly Effect which is a selection of facilities and services designed specifically for passengers with hidden disabilities such as autism.
These passengers will have been able to loosen up until their flight in a Calm Room on Level 5, a quiet space free of outside noise and outfitted with a variety of activity stations.
There is also a designated drop-off area on the kerbside of the terminal entrance gates, as well as separate priority lanes at the Immigration and Customs counters for all Butterfly Effect passengers.
Ten sensory walls were built around KLIA and KLIA2 to keep special needs passengers entertained by tactile, visual, and auditory activity.
