Objektif sesi interaksi robot adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan akademik pesakit ASD dengan meningkatkan panjang dan kualiti perhatian mereka. Sistem ini menggunakan robot NAO dan paparan mudah alih tambahan untuk menunjukkan isyarat emosi dan meminta tindak balas emosi yang sesuai. Interaksi ini separa autonomi dengan campur tangan manusia yang minimum. Interaksi berlaku dalam senario dinamik adaptif yang terdiri daripada 13 bahagian. Senario tersebut membolehkan penyesuaian adaptif berdasarkan sejarah skor perhatian setiap pesakit. Skor perhatian dihasilkan secara autonomi oleh sistem dan bergantung pada perhatian perhatian dan isyarat perhatian bersama dan tindak balas suara. Sistem pemarkahan membolehkan kita membuktikan bahawa sistem interaksi yang disesuaikan meningkatkan kemampuan penglibatan dan perhatian pesakit ASD. Setelah melakukan kajian rintis, melibatkan 6 Kanak-kanak ASD, daripada sejumlah 11 dipertimbangkan dalam persediaan klinikal, kami menjalankan kajian jangka panjang. EVAC extends existing work by introducing attention shift in a larger-scale network and applying a phenomenological model of channelopathy. In presence of a distractor, the channelopathic network’s rate of failure to shift attention is lower than the control network’s, but overall, the control network exhibits a lower classification error rate. The simulation results also show differences in task-relative reaction times between control and channelopathic networks. The genetic and physiological structure of the brain is studied to determine the pathology of autism, but diagnosis of autism at an early age is challenging due to the existing phenotypic and etiological heterogeneity among ASD individuals. Volumetric and neuroimaging techniques are explored to elucidate the neuroanatomy of the ASD brain. Nuroanatomical, neurochemical, and neuroimaging biomarkers can help in the early diagnosis and treatment of ASD. Sixteen adults with high-functioning autism or Asperger's syndrome and 19 typically developing adults viewed 21 video clips of people reacting to one of three gifts (chocolate, monopoly money, or a homemade novelty) and then inferred what gift the recipient received and the emotion expressed by that person. Participants' eye movements were recorded while they viewed the videos. Results showed that participants with ASD were only less accurate when inferring who received a chocolate or homemade gift. This difficulty was not due to lack of understanding what emotions were appropriate in response to each gift, as both groups gave consistent gift and emotion inferences significantly above chance (genuine positive for chocolate and feigned positive for homemade). Those with ASD did not look significantly less to the eyes of faces in the videos, and looking to the eyes did not correlate with accuracy on the task. These results suggest that those with ASD are less accurate when retrodicting events involving recognition of genuine and feigned positive emotions, and challenge claims that lack of attention to the eyes causes emotion recognition difficulties in ASD. Tingkah laku yang berkaitan dengan sifat autistik dilaporkan pada tahap yang lebih besar dalam budaya Timur daripada budaya Barat. Lelaki mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada pelajar perempuan dan pelajar sains mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada pelajar bukan sains dalam setiap budaya. Pelajar India mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada kedua-dua kumpulan lain pada sub-skala Imaginasi, Pelajar Malaysia mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada kedua-dua kumpulan lain pada sub skala Attention Switching. Walau bagaimanapun, kriteria diagnostik dan teori autisme didasarkan pada penyelidikan yang kebanyakannya dilakukan dalam budaya Barat. Di sini kita membandingkan ekspresi sifat autistik dalam sampel individu neurotipikal dari satu budaya Barat (UK) dan dua budaya Timur (India and Malaysia), menggunakan Autisme-spektrum Quotient (AQ) untuk mengenal pasti kemungkinan perbezaan budaya dalam penyataan sifat autistik. Tingkah laku yang berkaitan dengan sifat autistik dilaporkan pada tahap yang lebih besar dalam budaya Timur daripada budaya Barat. Lelaki mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada pelajar perempuan dan pelajar sains mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada pelajar bukan sains dalam setiap budaya. Pelajar India mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada kedua-dua kumpulan lain pada sub-skala Imaginasi, Pelajar Malaysia mendapat markah lebih tinggi daripada kedua-dua kumpulan lain pada sub skala Attention Switching. Kajian sistematik ini cuba menangani tiga persoalan kajian khusus: strategi pengajaran kosa kata dan arahan pemahaman teks yang digunakan, campur tangan berasaskan komputer (CBI) digunakan atau dikembangkan semasa belajar, dan keberkesanan penggunaan CBI untuk mengajar kanak-kanak dengan autisme. Terdapat lima strategi pengajaran kosa kata dan tujuh strategi pengajaran pemahaman teks. Hasil menunjukkan bahawa dua strategi pengajaran kosa kata, kaedah multimedia dan arahan eksplisit didapati lebih biasa digunakan daripada tiga kaedah lain. Pada nota yang sama, strategi menjawab soalan pengajaran pemahaman teks didapati digunakan lebih kerap daripada enam yang lain. Twenty-four high-functioning adolescents (berumur 11-16) with ASD and 24 typically developing matched control participants viewed and then described a series of scenes, each containing a person. Analyses of eye movements and verbal descriptions provided converging evidence that both groups displayed general interest in the person in each scene but the salience of the person was reduced for the ASD participants. Namun begitu, the verbal descriptions revealed that participants with ASD frequently processed the observed person's emotion or mental state without prompting. They also often mentioned eye-gaze direction, and there was evidence from eye movements and verbal descriptions that gaze was followed accurately. The combination of evidence from eye movements and verbal descriptions provides a rich insight into the way stimuli are processed overall.
