Dalam kertas ini, kami melaporkan reka bentuk dan pengembangan aplikasi mudah alih dengan pemantauan degupan jantung untuk membantu kanak-kanak dengan ASD dalam aktiviti kehidupan seharian mereka. Aplikasi mudah alih bersepadu, App4Autism dikembangkan menggunakan pendekatan reka bentuk holistik dengan tujuan meningkatkan komunikasi, interaksi dan kemahiran belajar sambil memberikan sokongan peraturan emosi melalui pendengaran muzik dan pemantauan degupan jantung. Fokus baru App4Autism adalah pada kepekaan bunyi; untuk memainkan muzik apabila mengesan bunyi bising berlebihan yang kuat (dalam desibel) pada masa yang sama, memantau degupan jantung pengguna menggunakan sensor nadi. Makalah ini menumpukan pada kajian untuk lebih memahami potensi penggunaan dan penggabungan pendengaran muzik dan pemantauan kadar degupan jantung / tahap kecemasan dalam aplikasi. Makalah ini memberikan hasil penyelidikan mengenai genre muzik mana yang lebih sesuai untuk membuat pengguna tenang. Hasil dapatan dari tinjauan naratif menunjukkan bahawa interaksi sosial yang tidak mencukupi adalah faktor utama menyumbang kepada defisit kemahiran sosial pada kanak-kanak ASD khasnya pendidikan. Kekurangan kemahiran mengakibatkan masalah dengan pendidik, rakan sebaya, ketidakupayaan untuk hidup bebas dan kekurangan penerimaan oleh masyarakat. Findings indicated that the teachers, parents and guardians of these children are not ready for humanoids to train their children but in future such attempts are encouraged. Walaupun begitu, this paper will highlight the socio-economic benefits of humanoid-assisted social skills training of children with autism. This is important in preparing them for adulthood and independence. Sebagai tambahan, from the literature reviewed, content analyses on humanoid-mediated research articles provide the preliminary empirical support. Evidences and outcomes from similar research projects conducted from social scientists in developing nations further narrows the objectives of the investigation. From the analyses of the interview transcripts, the findings suggested that the teachers are optimistic on the use of humanoids to enhance the children's spiritual or religious knowledge, in particular, the repetitive motions in praying and memorizing the verses from the Quran. It is important to note that the teachers and school children are all of the Islamic faith. Data were collected through interviews using a semi-structured interview guideline. From the analyses of the interview transcripts, the findings suggested that the teachers are optimistic on the use of humanoids to enhance the children's spiritual or religious knowledge, in particular, the repetitive motions in praying and memorizing the verses from the Quran. It is important to note that the teachers and school children are all of the Islamic faith. Although the study suggests a positive influence of humanoids for spiritual enhancement, more research is needed in this area to provide empirical evidence on assistive technology for brain-impaired children, especially those suffering from autism. |

Several anecdotal reports gave an early indication of the immense possibilities of how these devices could play a significant role in enhancing the quality of life of the children with ASD and their families.
